Good evening brothers and sisters in Christ.

I have not been on for quite some time. Forgive my abscence.

As our family has moved forward in Christ our journey ha sbeen one of trials, but filled with a Joy and piece that can only be of our Lord Jesus Chris--Praise God

My wife and family are blessed everyday even with the trials but my family has come against spirit of control from my mother/father. We have tried to set our boundaries but have been met with opposition, gossip etc, making it very difficult to attend family gatherings. This all came to head this evening as I was tryhing to explain how we did not appreciate the guilt and comments from them all the time..this turned into my mom yelling at me and saying that there something wrong with us especially since we left the Greek Orthodox faith.

We continue to deal with this in peace and love for them ...we pray for them. This has also come from Aunts, uncles and my own brother. We are strong in Christ and that will not change, all I humbly ask is that you pray for us through this difficult time.

The scripture below give us strenght in this time:

Jesus’ Mother and Brothers Send for Him

46 While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. 47 Then one said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.”
48 But He answered and said to the one who told Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” 49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! 50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”

This stays with me as we go through this time of transition.Perhaps it is my fault for not clearly stating that I am a bible-believing lover of Christ.....

We expect trials in this time...but we stand in faith and hope in the Body of Christ that we somehow through this reach other family members, before it is too late.

Dear Tony;
We know that not all those that profess Christ are true believers. Some prefer the institution to the Person. I praise God for your tenacity.

Heavenly Father, You warned us that there would be dissention from within the family and that it would be hard for us. Be pleased, therefore, to guide Tony and his wife and they navigate throught this difficult situation. Strengthen them and protect them, LORD, and soften the hearts of their family so that there might once again be peace and joy in the family. I ask this in the name of Yeshua, our Messiah, Amen
