This is Calvin Smith speaking at our Deconstructing Darwin Conference last weekend. I was videotaping with a videocamera as well as my digital camera - please excuse the amature quality - the message is good though.
The conference went very well with 300 people attending.
One more thing. I really believed at one time that to question or discuss creation was almost like "not" having faith in God. It might lead to chaos.:(
After what you've talked about and filmed, I'm so eager to embrace this wonder.
Thank you my sister in Christ for being who you are and letting God teach me through you. Amen
thank you Joanne for sharing and caring.______with love\peace/hope, i-daniel pray this today, in the name of GOD's holy son, my lord JESUS Christ._____yes allll children of GOD, purpuse-fully wanted, and not just un-wanted by-products.
Hi, Joanne; The links didn't work. But that's OK. I checked out the website, and realized I had seen the Creation series when they came to Orangeville last february. I watched it live on the internet. It was a wonderful conference. Wow! We learned so much drivel in school! Thanks, Joanne! ---------- Loving the LORD more every day
I agree with the drivel part, Audrey. When I started college I thought, "Why take all this? Why not just take the classes I need to lean what I need to learn?" without all the "propaganda" or classes to make someone a job.
Yes dear Joanne, for it is in the 'drivel', and the non-drivel, which when brought into the " light of day ", that we can examine truth-fully allll points of view on allll topics of human conversation._____with Love\PEACE/understanding of alll neighbours, i-daniel pray in the name of _J_E_S_U_S_, to-day.
At my Bible study at church we just wrapped up a DVD presentation by Ken Ham titled "Answers in Genesis". It was very good & it certainly challenged my thinking about the whole "creation vs. evolution" debate. Because of the lingering "drivel" we all were taught in public school, we sometimes can start thinking that the two can be integrated somehow. Using the same scientific evidence evolutionists use, this study made it very clear that the fossil record actually proves the Bible, rather than the other way around. Fascinating stuff.
Ken Ham is an excellent apologist for the creation movement. I actually had an opportunity to meet him at the Answers in Genesis Creation Museum in Kentucky. In the picture from L to R: daughter Amy, daughter-in-law Nikki, husband Scott, Joanne, Ken Ham
Absolutely right, Joanne, If we don't know the drivel then we can't argue against it. But I only learned the drivel!! I never learned the truth!!! That's what I was getting at. Loved your photo, dear Joanne. You have a beautiful family!! ---------- Loving the LORD more every day
You are right Audrey. I only learned the drivel too and it wasn't until many years later that I came across creationist literature that changed everything for me. I am thanksful for organizations like Creation MInistries and Answers in Genesis who make it their forcus to teach Christians so that they can stand up for the truth. Joanne
Drivel is like, wordiness: it takes up a lot of space but says little or nothing. I saw the drivel as a nusiance, a waste of time. However, as you good folks have pointed out, one does not know the drivel until it's poured over us.
So that's Joanne, huh? Everyone was smiling. Musta been fun.
