pray for me

My brothers & sisters in Christ, please pray for me as I am filling in this Sunday for my pastor. He is away tending to family matters in the wake of his brother's passing into eternity to be with the Lord last week.

I will be preaching on the difference between knowing things about God...and actually KNOWING God. A vast difference, to be sure. For example, Paul(Saul) thought he knew all about God. He was so full of "head knowledge" about God that he was having Christians put to death & thought he was doing God a favor. It wasn't until he truly encountered God in the person of Jesus on the Damascus road that he finally knew God... in his heart, not just his head. So began his relentless pursuit of knowing his Lord more & more.

And so it should be with us, amen? To know Him as fully as we can in this life until we see Him face to face.

That's just a taste of the theme of the message I'm working on. I'm seeking the Lord's blessing as I desire to do His will in feeding His flock the Bread of Life at my church.

In Christ

Tyler

IJN Father we ask you to make Your Good News come through Tyler in waves of peace and joy for those listening. Amen.

Thanks Laura. I've done this lots of times before, though I feel very strongly about this particular message. Knowing the Lord intimately is so very important in the life of the believer. Too many people want to keep God at arm's length or just fellowship with Him for an hour on Sunday morning. Or just be busy doing things for Him but never taking the time to really KNOW Him. It's so important that Jesus said many will seek to enter the kingdom, citing all the things they did in His name, and He will say "Depart from Me, I never knew you."

And, yes, singing will be a big part of the message!

YES, in agreement with sister LAURA, keep on "singing your prayer-LOVING-spiritual way", as in-spirited with Love|peace|HOPE for all the NEIGHBOURS, in these our darkest TO-DAYS, i-daniel, humbly pray to the FATHER, "GOD of ALL", in my Lord JESUS Christ's name.

Tyler, I know that you are already being inspired by the Holy Spirit for your Sunday sermon. May the LORD be with you as you prepare and deliver your srmon.

Heavenly Father, Watch over Your servant Tyler and give him the wisdom he needs to express the message he wishes to convey. May You bless his sermon so that it reaches many souls. I ask this according to You perfect will, in the blessed Name of Jesus, amen.

How wonderful, Tyler! You have an excellent message the Holy Spirit has undoubtedly given you. Keep your heart in a state of prayer and the Holy Spirit will loose your tongue, give you the words, and never let you down.

Father God, Lord Jesus. Be with our brother in this hour. Give him your blessing. We know, Lord, you have given him the message already. Raise him up, Lord, and strengthen him. We know, Father God, that nervousness is only our human weakness. Take away that nervousness, Lord. Open the ears and hearts of the congregation, Holy Spirit, that they will accept and devour our brother's message You, and you alone, have given him. In Christ's Holy Name, amen.

Go get 'em, Tyler!

In Christ,
bill

Praise God thru whom all blessings flow, and I praise Him with all creatures here below, and I praise him with all ye heavenly hosts, I praise Father, son & Holy Ghost!

At today's service hearts were blessed, minds were challenged, spirits were encouraged in Christ. I give all the glory to Jesus Christ who enabled me thru His Word to reach out to those who who needed a touch from the Lord.

It's all about Him! Hallelujah! Amen!

God is good... all the time!

Hope that answers the question, Laura.
