Revelation 7:4-8 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed a hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. (5) Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. (6) Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Naphtali were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. (7) Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. (8) Of the tribe of Zebulun were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

I often wondered why the tribe of Dan was not included in the 144000 sealed in Revelation, never really thought of looking into it until now….
Someone happened to pick my curiosity. A few of us decided to do a study on the tribe of Dan with different ideals as to why. I would also like to add why the tribe of Manasses is mentioned in Revelation.

Here are some of the Basic:
The tribe of Dan

Dan was born in Padan Aram, father’s name Jacob, mother’s name Bilhah (maidservant of Rachel). Gen. 30:5
He is the 5th son. First born to Bilhah
His name means judge.

For me this is where the answer starts….
Genesis 49:1-2 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. (2) Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.

Genesis 49:16-18 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. (17) Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward. (18) I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.

"The omission of the tribe of Dan in favor of the priestly tribe of Levi is also unusual. Dan was evidently omitted due to the Tribe's penchant for idolatry (Deut. 29:18-21) -which was even worse than that of the rest of the nation (Judges 18, Amos 8:140. While Dan will share in the millennial blessings (Ez. 48:1,2,32)the tribe will not be selected for this duty (144,000 witnesses) nor protected during the Tribulation. Similarly, the name of Ephraim is omitted in favor of his father Joseph because Ephraim defected from the ruling house of Judah (Is. 7:17) Also Ephraim, like Dan, was consumed with idolatry (Hos. 4:17). His brother Manasseh is included because he was the faithful son of Joseph."

Regarding the 144,000:
"That there were 12,000 sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel speaks of God's elective purpose. Mere random human choice would not come up with such an even division. While the tribal records were lost when the Romans sacked Jerusalem in A.D. 70, God knows who belongs to each tribe."

The man took his concubine and cut her into 12 parts and sent them to the 12 tribes.

Dan was ostrisized from the rest. Even women were not allowed to marry a Danite.

Finly a way was figured out to get Dan women, but the tribe of Dan was ostrisized.

That is why in my opinion Dan is not in the 144,000.

Likewise, supposedly other tribes continued north & became known as the Celts. Again, if true, it is fascinatining to think that they eventually arrived in the British Isles and specifically present day Ireland.

I wish I could be more specific about this. I think it may have been Dr. Gene Scott that I heard teach it. He's been dead for several years now. Has anyone else here ever heard of this teaching?

Jonzy, the teaching of the Trinity is there in plain sight in the Bible that anyone can acquire even by logic or simple deduction and is NOT a doctrine of the Nicolaitans as you proclaim it to be. We've been through this many times before, verses throughout the whole Word of God have been given to you by me and others, why do you keep on bringing this up?

As Mary,Joanne, Serge and others have stated so clearly, there are two audiences in the Bible but one God.

No one can know this without the Holy Spirit. Joanne has stated with good reason, to test the spirits as Scripture tells us to.

The Bible is always revealing more truth to us as we open our hearts unto the Lord. I've posted this once before but once again I think this is so powerful, daniel.
